Dolphin farewell
Tonight in weariness
I sail with the dolphins
through calm waters
to the sunset shore
carry me swiftly
smoothly
with tenderness
friends of the ocean waves
let me ride with you once more

I seem to be rather alliterative these days: dolphins and donkeys but perhaps one needs special animals in such troubled times. My Jim talks of the dolphins following the ships that he was in during the war..as if they recognized and played with humans.
