Memories of Light

The draw of the deep,
forgotten memories of a place
once known,
now not.
The watery chalice
brings new life,
a power of itself.
Wonderful it is to swim
down, to the secret place
beneath the sea -
among the dolphins.
To know it again,
among the pearls
and coral blue.

Thank you Madam Eclectica...it was a lovely journey - a great idea to swim among the dolphins.

Beautiful piece, Monika. We are all drawn, I think, to the sea and marvel at what lies beneath those restless waves. It is home to all of us though few of us can return except in our submersibles, and that's not really the same, is it?

It's the freedom I crave for ... the freedom of the dolphins.

Like you I'm a kind of freedom baby at heart. I once had the pleasure of swimming in the clearest blue waters off an island in Fiji - if I can scan the pic I will share the water with you all. Like you I crave the sea - I love your work and can relate to your feeling, for sure.

What a wonderful poem Monika. We are each drawn to the sea and the subterranean depths, to secret caverns. Lovely!
